For the Birds

We went over to the falls today in the hopes of seeing baby ducks. No luck - it must be too early. But all the geese and ducks were anxiously awaiting the bread we brought for them. These are wild geese & ducks that hang out along the falls and are so tame, they take food from your hands. Dylan thought it was pretty fun to feed them, until one of the geese bit a little too hard I think. After that he wouldn't hold it out for them anymore and said 'they bite'.

Little Josey

Dylan's favorite toy is this old dog toy that Grandma let him have. She also gave him a collar and leash, so he can take the dog for walks. He named his dog "Little Josey" and drags it all over the place. He even wanted to sleep with it for awhile, until we found the leash wrapped around his neck one night. Again - we are up for parent of the year!

Catching Bugs!

Dylan's newest toy this week was a bug jug. Eddy took him out and found him some bugs under the doghouse. He wanted desperatly to bring it inside, but I stuck to the rule that "that's an outside toy". I remember my sis and I having pet caterpillars when we were kids and feeding them, playing with them, etc. Apparantly, boys don't have the same nurturing habits - Eddy and Dylan wanted to find some bugs that would fight eachother. Then a few hours later, Dylan came in and said, "Mom, I need more bugs. I smashed mine." Gross!
